Below Average Dave is a young man who is down on his luck. Life has thrown quite a few curve balls, and in honesty, has few bright spots despite his humorous music and larger than life smile. I, as you may have guessed, am David.

I've been writing parodies since, well, forever. I wrote my first parody years ago, when I was a very little kid. While I only recently started recording under my current name, I've been online before as Adrenaline Boy and Skit. . .neither of which were catchy, fun or successful. Well, Below Average Dave stuck. My parodies have all exceeded my expectations, and it seems everyday I have a new supporter. I am not proud of my status financial, physically or emotionally. I have baggage, parodies allow me to escape that baggage--usually anyway. I enjoy long walks on the beach, and laying on the ground staring at the sky at night. I enjoy the rain, and water in general. My favorite thing to do is actually listen to peaceful music at night and think about what I can do to brighten my future.

I dream of someday being a business owner, and of moving to Canada, a country that I've admired from when I was just a little boy or Chicago which I've also always admired. Hockey is where my sport passion lies, and singing/writing is my biggest hobby. Karaokee is probably my most enjoyable past time, and although I'll jokingly say I always want to be single, I know that I enjoy the warmth and love of being held and holding someone else at night. I am single, right now by choice, because I'm trying to fix my life and get out of my rut. I hope to find someone someday, but I don't believe in dating services or online dating. I believe you can meet good friends that way, but that the foundation to love begins with friendship. I believe that being open minded to differences and judging someone by their heart is more important than wether or not someone can pay my bills. If I was in a relationship I'd want it to be an equal one.

I won't go into great detail about my stats as I have pictures available for most of my songs. The thing I will say is that I am not ashamed of myself, but not overly proud either. I view myself as average, not quite where I want to be, but further than I could be. I want to lose a little weight, but I think everyone feels that way. I'd like to make a little more money, but again who doesn't. I did complete high school and began college. I obviously speak English, but also speak light french and light spanish, and am working on learning those languages more fluently. I have a loving family back home, that I miss daily. Despite the distance we still have a tight-nit relationship. I would like to further pursue my dreams, and believe starting fresh in another part of this country or another country all together would be the best way to do that.

I am very open about my goals with parody recording. I do it to relieve stress, not create it-which is why everything I record is free. If you have money to support my habit, I created a store with items mostly under 20 dollars that I get a small cut from. I am flattered at the downloads and listens I get daily and thank all those who support me. All I ask from those who visit me is to keep your heart and mind open. My life is a lot like parodies, not meant to be serious, but still serving a serious purpose, to lighten people up. We get so wrapped up in our problems sometimes a good laugh can pull us back to home and reality. Life is short, don't panic it away. Don't dread waking up from day to day. Grab it, enjoy it, and have fun. . .put aside your differences wether it be political, financial, or fear. . .and just live. Live and be happy. That's what my life is all about. . .being happy. Everytime I hear a good parody, I get a little closer to being happy.
